Desert dry camping in great solar powered campground with flush toilets and showers. Sites are spread out in mesquite and palo verde with mature saguaros right next to Roosevelt Lake.
We had a nice family get away. Very hot weather, so tenting was hard.
The convicts from ADC that come for landscaping would buzz the weed-eater near the campsite, wait 5 minutes and repeat. The driver of the truck circled 6x. Finally, I left and checked into a 4 star resort in Phoenix. Would have rather been hanging out in my hammock enjoying the peace and quiet. So, if you camp during the week watch out for the convicts they'll find the habited spots and buzz them.
Great place to camp. Clean restrooms.
Awful campground. Exposed campsites without much room to pitch a tent. Severe ant problem. We left before night fell. Both dogs and I got bitten up by fire ants.
